Caring Direct respects the right of the service user to take informed risks and we seek to adopt the correct balance between personal preferences, choice, safety and effectiveness.

Caring Direct encourages staff to adopt active listening and to involve people who use services, and/or others acting on their behalf, in decision making about their care, treatment and support.
