Waking Night Care

Caring Direct offers a ‘waking night service’ that allows you the option of minimal care and support throughout the night with the reassurance of a trained care professional awake in the house and close by.

In contrast to the ‘sleeping night service’ you will not be required to allocate a bedroom in order that they may sleep but instead allow them to sit close by or in another room whilst you sleep.

The care worker will reassure you throughout the night should you awake and assist in making you as comfortable as possible. They may be required to administer medication at given times throughout the night and where necessary monitor , change or empty catheter bags.

The ‘waking night service’ is based on the presumption that the service user will regularly waken from their sleep, however is not intended to substitute continuous provision of care.

Should you require care and support with morning and/or night time routines this service can be extended or additional care introduced to suit your needs.

All in all, this may be another perfect introduction to meeting your care requirements and can be changed at any time.
