Live In Care
Live in Care is becoming increasingly more popular to both family and their loved ones, not only as a more affordable option, but as it provides them with the option of having a full time care package, a personalised care plan and enables them to remain in contact with family, friends neighbours and pets.
For many of our service users, their home is a place of safety, a familiar surrounding where they once raised a family. A place which holds many loving memories, where they laughed with family and friends.
‘Live in’ care is tailor made to suit the routine of the individual.
Caring Direct understand that having another person living with you may seem daunting and therefore extra care is taken to ensure that all Live in care staff are matched to suit your needs and requirements and fully briefed on your personal preferences.
Live in care may be suited to you if you have a spare bedroom for the carer to sleep. Care staff will support your care requirements from 7 a.m. up to 10 p.m. working an 8 hour day on an unmeasured working basis. This is designed to ensure care is provided as required. Meals will be prepared according to preferred times and breaks taken when care is not required or whilst you rest.
Our Live in service is also based on you and the carer having a good night sleep. Where support is required throughout the night the carer can be called upon twice to assist. Where additional support is required throughout the night or where your needs become more complex we are able to offer additional care between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Caring Direct also offer a night sitting service that does not require the carer to live on the premises.
Live in carers will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your living room, your bedroom, bathroom, toilet area and kitchen area.
Live in care staff will manage your weekly shop at times convenient to you. They may eat with you, sit with you and watch television with you depending on your preference.
Care staff are rotated over 2, 3 or 4 week periods however attention is given to continuity of care and the inevitable companionship that follows. Continuity of care is achieved by minimalising care staff assigned to your care wherever possible.
If continuity of care, companionship and a flexible care solution appeals to you then then contact The Caring Direct Team to discuss further.
